Thank you for your interest in St Paul's Day School. This website will introduce you to our philosophy and guiding principles. We consider it a privilege to share these early years with you and your child. We invite you to come and see for yourself the loving, Christian atmosphere that is fostered at St Paul's. Philosophy & Guiding Principles

Founded in 1963, St Paul's Day School was established to serve preschool children in a loving Christian atmosphere.

Our philosophy is to nurture young children's love of learning in a developmentally appropriate and challenging atmosphere. Our program focuses on the whole child, and addresses the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of our children. We place emphasis on kindness and the children learning to appreciate each other.

The unique storybook setting of the Children's Village promotes a safe learning environment for three, four and five year old children. Located at the northwest corner of SW 2nd Street and Swinton Avenue, the sounds and songs of happy children at work and play are a daily occurrence.

Sponsored by St Paul's Episcopal Church, our school welcomes all children and their families regardless of religious affiliation. Due to the support of the Church, tuition has remained reasonable and affordable. This high quality preschool experience is a true value in today's marketplace.

 

Administration

The Rector of St Paul's Episcopal Church is ultimately responsible for the school program. He is assisted by the Curate of the Church, as well as a School Board comprising ten members, made up of parents, parishioners and the director of the school. The Board meets monthly and works to maintain school policy and to support school programs.

The staff is comprised of a teaching school director and three teachers. All teachers are certified by the Child Development Association (CDA) and are experienced in preschool programs. We also use the expert services of the musical director from St Paul's Episcopal Church in our weekly music class and special programs.

The Day School has received its Gold Seal Accreditation through the Florida Association of Child Care Management in recognition of its high quality preschool program.
