Special Events

Each month we have a very special happening. These events open learning possibilities in their preparation, are exciting for the children to experience and make wonderful memories.

Seasonal presentations
There are three main presentations that take place during the school year.  These are: November - 'Pilgrims Meet the Indians'; December - 'Come to Bethlehem'; May - 'Spring Frolic'.

In addition, we have a monthly special event for all the children to enjoy.  These include 'Surprise Walk'; 'Day School Sunday'; 'Fire Department Visit'; Halloween Trick or Treating'; 'Teddy Bear Week' & 'Pajama Chapel'; 'Valentines Celebration'; 'St Jude's Trike-a-thon'; 'Kite Day'; 'McCarthy Wildlife Visit'; 'Funny Hat Day'; 'Watermelon Day'.

Advent Highlights

Advent Soup Supper & Chrismon Making: Wednesday December 3 & Wednesday December 10: 5:30 pm
We will have a soup supper and make Chrismons for the church Christmas tree.

Chrismons are handmade Christmas tree ornaments with various symbols of Christianity.  Click here for more information and to see examples of Chrismons.

Christmas Pageant
If your children would like to participate in the Christmas Pageant, please bring them to church on Saturday December 20 at 9:00 am for a rehearsal & costume fitting.  The actual Pageant will take place during the Holy Eucharist service at 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve.  Invite your friends and family.  All are welcome to help tell our Christmas story.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas: Sunday December 21 Following the 9:30 am Service
Father Stokes will read 'The Night Before Christmas' following the 9:30 am service in the Parish Hall.  Join us as we gather around our Christmas tree to hear this seasonal classic.

Advent Lessons & Carols: Sunday December 21: 3:00 pm
We are most privileged to have our own beautiful Service of Lessons and Carols to celebrate the coming of Christmas.

Christmas Eve: Wednedsay December 24:

• 5:00 pm - Holy Eucharist with Christmas Pageant
• 7:30 pm - Holy Eucharist with the St Paul's Choir
• 11:00 pm - Holy Eucharist with the St Paul's Choir

Christmas Day: Thursday December 25 at 11:00 am
Congregational sing-along begins at 10:45 am.
