St Paul's Legacy
St Paul's circa 1904
In 1904, a group of young and bold settlers blessed the community of Delray Beach with a beautiful Church. Guided by the Holy Spirit, through times of hardship and times of prosperity, those who came before us thought beyond their own generation. They thought about the future generations of St Paul's Church.

As they were called in their time, now we are called to find ways to prepare for the next generation, even as we continue to meet the needs of today's congregation. This is our time to demonstrate our abounding gratitude for the lives and faith of those who passed this church into our hands. They endowed us with many material and spiritual gifts, and it is our time to pay those gifts forward. It is our time to impart our values and commitments to future generations.
Not only will the Legacy Endowment Fund help finance current ministries, but future members of our church will be able to use its earnings to continue to make a difference in the community, in the nation, and in the world. The Apostle Paul said,
'According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder, I laid a foundation and another person is building upon it.' (1 Corinthians 3:10).
We honor the past, and through God's grace, we are growing in faith into the future, knowing that God calls us constantly to renew and revitalize our ministries.
By listening to God's voice and giving to the Legacy Endowment Fund, we will build upon this foundation for all of the people of St Paul's Church, leaving a legacy of strength, faith and generosity to our children and their children.
A general endowment will strengthen St Paul's ministry by allowing us to:
St Paul's Sanctuary
- Remain faithful stewards in the maintenance and enhancement of our extensive campus and our historic and beautiful sanctuary, beacons of light and hope in our community, by providing for contingency funds for large repairs and upkeep projects.
- Enable the temporary part-time Youth Ministry position to become permanent, restore the position of Children Youth and Family Ministry Director to full-time, and restore funding to the children and youth ministries budget line.
J2A & Rite 13 Group 3rd Graders 1st & 2nd Graders Godly Play
- Fully fund St Paul's Choir and the music program.

- Fully fund our Mission and Outreach Budget, which serves the community, the nation, and the world through such ministries as Paul's Place, Family Promise, I Want to Learn English (IWLE), participation in CROS Ministries' Caring Kitchen and Community Food Pantry, and collaboration with the South Florida Haiti Project, which operates St Mary Madeline School in Bondeau, Haiti.

- Restore the Administrative Assistant and Assistant Sexton positions to full-time from part-time.

Administrative Assistant Assistant Sexton

In his letters to the early Christians, the Apostle Paul encourages us to be generous and cheerful givers. He teaches us to give as we have decided in our heart to give. Paul equates giving with 'thanksgiving.'
'You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.' (2 Corinthians 9:12). The purpose of the Legacy Endowment Fund is to help sustain projects and ministries which are part of the life of St Paul's.
Now the campaign is launched, gifts and pledges may be made in cash or stocks. The Internal Revenue Service Code encourages planned giving to allow persons to make wise financial decisions that can benefit them or their loved ones, while supporting their church.
We hope that St Paul's is a significant part of your life and that you will consider taking the necessary steps to support our church's future.
