TWO CAMPAIGNS AT ONCE - ANNUAL OPERATING CAMPAIGN & LEGACY ENDOWMENT CAMPAIGN TO TAKE PLACE CONCURRENTLY Beginning this month, St Paul's is actively engaging in two important financial campaigns:
Annual Operating Campaign during which St Paul's members, attendees and friends are asked to generously and sacrificially support the on-going ministries of the church for the budget year 2012. St Paul's has traditionally held the Annual Operating Campaign at this time of year. Our pledge goal for the Annual Operating Campaign for 2012 is $745,000. Co-Chairs of the Annual Operating Campaign are Mary Whittemore and Deborah Phelan.
Growing in Faith Legacy Endowment Campaign In 2012, St Paul's members, attendees and friends are asked to pledge generously to the Growing in Faith Legacy Endowment Campaign. Designed to strengthen the long term financial health of St Paul's and it's ministries, the goal of this campaign is $2.75 million with a 'stretch goal' of $3 million. This campaign was authorized by the parish through the feasibility study conducted in the Spring of 2011 and is being overseen by our consultants at The Episcopal Church Foundation. Pledges to the Growing in Faith Legacy Endowment Campaign may be made over three years. Chair of the Legacy Endowment Campaign is Dr Kristen Murtaugh.

CONGREGATIONAL EXCHANGE WITH ST MATTHEW'S: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5 AT 10:30 AM We will have a congregational exchange with St Matthew's on Sunday February 5. Those who would like are encouraged to attend the 10:30 am service at St Matthew's that morning and members of St Matthew's will join us at St Paul's for the 9:30 am service.
St Matthew's and St Paul's churches are each historic Episcopal parishes with over 100 years of service in Delray. The establishment of two Episcopal churches within close proximity, to each other (less than ½ mile apart) stems from the sinful legacy of racial segregation. St Matthew's is a predominately black church with founding families from the Bahamas. St Paul's is a predominately white church whose membership is primarily represented by European-American members. Today, the two congregations work together, worship together four times a year and walk the path between the two churches as we serve the community.
CURSILLO BAKE SALE: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5 Buy your Super Bowl snacks and support Cursillo! A wide array of delicious, nutritious, home made baked goods will be available to purchase after all services on Sunday February 5. Your support will help raise money to send candidates on a Cursillo weekend. If you are interested in discovering more about Cursillo, please contact Patti Daniell or Sherry Fleming.
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5 St Paul's will join with thousands of others across the world to help feed the hungry on Super Bowl Sunday. Our J2A Youth group members will be standing by the church doors with their soup pots at all services, to help collect for this worthy mission. Every dollar dropped in the soup pot helps people in need feel the power of God's Love. Please include a jar of peanut butter or one can of food with your dollar contribution.
All totals will be called into 'Souper Bowl' headquarters to see the power of what one person can do. Last year $4 million was raised to help feed the hungry.
