Leader: The Rev Cannon Chip Stokes
Through most of 2012, the Sunday readings will be from Mark's Gospel. Mark is generally recognized as the first of the canonical Gospels to be written and thought to be a major source for Matthew and Luke. Often described as 'an extended passion narrative', Mark moves relentlessly and quickly from the opening verses describing John the Baptist's ministry in the wilderness to the passion of Jesus. What happens in between those two events is a powerful embodiment and proclamation of the kingdom of God in everything that Jesus of Nazareth says and does.
Join us for this in-depth conversation and exploration of the stunning Gospel of Mark.
