Family Promise
The Family Promise Ministry became fully operational on November 1 2008. St Paul's has made a significant commitment to this ministry. Members of St Paul's are serving on the board and the working committees to support this ministry.
The key to supporting the Family Promise families in transition back to independence, is to provide links to jobs & housing. Please call the Family Promise Day Center at 561 265 3370 if you have job leads or if you have items to donate. We currently have three families and their needs include clothing for a baby boy (3 - 6 month size), and one family is getting ready to move in early August, so household items and furniture are welcome.

In the sixteen faith communities that now support our Family Promise network, someone will know someone who can help our families to find jobs that are right for them. If you are aware of any job opportunities, please contact Stacey Donoghue at 561 706 6893.

Background to Family Promise
The program relies on about a dozen interfaith 'host congregations' who will provide hospitality, food and shelter for a week about once a quarter for the families in the program. The work of helping the families to find work and appropriate housing is done at a dedicated Day Center. The program director is a social worker who works with the families to develop their plan for transition back to adequate housing. This new ministry is one of 140 successful interfaith hospitality networks of Family Promise in 39 states.
