Music at St Paul's... Coming Attractions


MUSIC AT ST PAUL'S 21ST SEASON DATES FOR YOUR DIARY  The new season of our concert series has taken shape with a wide variety of musical offerings.  Due to demand, we strongly recommend that you order your tickets in advance of the concert date.  Preferred seating is selling out early.  Book early to avoid disappointment.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 6, 2008 7:00 PM - Embracing our Children  Music at St Paul's in conjunction with the Boca Raton Philarmonic Symphonia String Outreach Program and International Asset Value Group, Boca Raton - Corporate Sponsor, proudly present 'Embracing our Children', a concert to benefit 'Paul's Place' and the 'Achievement Centers for Children & Families' on Saturday December 6 at 7:00 pm at St Paul's Episcopal Church, Delray Beach.  

The program will feature world renowned Italian harpsichordist, Chiara Massini.  Tickets are available at $20.00 or $35.00 and may be purchased at the door or reservations made by calling 561 278 6003 or by sending an email to drkeith@stpaulsdelray.org

The program honors Phyllis Carey, Phyllis Hammett, James & Blen Walton, Jean Wilmer members of St Paul's who have been instrumental in the founding of 'Paul's Place' and the Achievement Centers.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 21, 2008 3:00 PM - Christmas Lessons & Carols  St Paul's Choir sings music for the season accompanied by organ and instruments - a St Paul's tradition.

SUNDAY JANUARY 18, 2009 3:00 PM - The Chagall Trio  Daphne Spottiswoode, piano; Tristan Lehnert, violin, and Angela Maleh, cello, play Beethoven's Piano Trio, Op.1, No.1 and Ravel's colorful Trio in A Minor of 1914.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2009 3:00 PM - Violin Fireworks  Robert Davidovici performs virtuoso music for solo violin by JS Bach, Eugene Ysaye, Fritz Kreisler and Frederick Kaufman.

SUNDAY MARCH 22, 2009 4:00 PM - Music of War and Peace  St Paul's Choir with Sinfonia del Re present music by Franz Joseph Haydn and Marc Antoine Charpentier, and Karl Jenkins' critically acclaimed mass 'The Armed Man'.

SUNDAY APRIL 26, 2009 4:00 PM - The French Mystique  Pianist Fedora Horowitz and cellist Johanne Peron perform music by some of France's most beloved composers: Camille Saint-Saens, Maurice Ravel and Francis Poulenc.

SUNDAY MAY 17, 2009 4:00 PM - The Bach Legacy  Explore the music of Bach, his sons, Karl Philip Emmanuel and Johann Christian, and students Johann Ludwig Krebs and Karl Abel, performed by Camerata del Re on original instruments.

SUNDAY JUNE 21, 2009 4:00 PM - Trillium  Yoko Sata-Kothari, piano; Susanne Walter-Geissler, violin & Benjamin Salisbury, cello with violin and cello.

SUNDAY JULY 5, 2009 4:00 PM - Celebrate America!  Popular and classical music from the United States - music by Stephen Foster, Charles Ives, Arthur Foote, Scott Joplin and others.

SUNDAY AUGUST 23, 2009 4:00 PM - Duelling Divas of Jazz  Anita Smith and Adriana Samargia join the St Paul's Jazz Ensemble for a sizzling afternoon of jazz solos and duets.
