Tuesday Mornings at 7:15 am - Coffee and donuts served!Leader(s): Members of the Preaching Staff
Join the scheduled preacher and explore with him or her the biblical texts for the upcoming week. What is the historical or critical background of the text? What do you think the Scripture is saying? What do you think should be included in the sermon? This Bible Study provides you with an opportunity to have your say and, perhaps, help shape Sunday's sermon.
Here are some reasons to check out the Preacher's Bible Study:
- You're up at 7:15 anyway
- Coffee provided
- Donuts provided
- No homework
- Drop in occasionally or come regularly
- Get to know other people
- Readings for the following Sunday are explored
- Readings are more meaningful on Sunday
- Share your insights with the preacher
- At 8:00 am you still have the whole day ahead of you - Go to work; Go to 8:10 am Eucharist; Go to your bridge or golf game!
The readings are appointed for each Sunday in a three year cycle.
We are now in Daily Office Year 2 & Lectionary Year C.
